Family law Attorney
Ray Pollari has been admitted into practice for over 27 years and has spent the best part of his practice focusing on family law exclusively. Ray’s practice was founded on effective communication between clients and our courts without adding unnecessary work to already complicated situations. He is passionate on helping clients with divorce, parentage, committed intimate relationships, prenuptial contracts, support and parenting plan modifications, military family law, domestic violence and restraining orders. No matter the process, Ray works hard to ensure that his clients are heard, educated, and provides his clients knowledgeable insight on the best way to navigate their cases.
Ray was drawn to family law by the opportunities this area provides to help children and appear in court frequently. He became a Guardian ad Litem in Spokane County early in his practice assisting the courts with both family law and dependency matters. That experience provided Ray with a unique perspective on custody disputes and how the courts view the “best interests” of children.
Ray has had the opportunity to travel Washington State and perform litigation and mediation in different counties but found himself drawn to Pierce and King Counties. Ray can relate to many of the families in Pierce and King County as major military bases are in this area. As a child of an Air Force service member, Ray appreciates the sacrifices our men and women in uniform make for the country and the effect that the military can have on families.
Like many military children, Ray has called several places home. He has lived in Florida, Maine, Chicago, Virginia, and Germany. He attended The University of Virginia and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1988. While attending school Ray joined Delta Upsilon fraternity and played rugby for over seven years. Before becoming an attorney, he started in the legal field as a process server, private investigator, and pre-trial services investigator for the Washington D.C. Public Defender’s Office. With this experience Ray moved to Spokane and attended Gonzaga University School of Law and graduated in 1994 with his Juris Doctor.
When away from the office, Ray likes to explore the Pacific Northwest by hiking and mountain biking all over the area. Ray is a dedicated father who is parenting a teenager. He understands children and what single parents go through during busy and challenging times.
